관점 및 주석 부사

몇몇 부사들과 부사적 표현들은 동작에 대한 화자의 관점이나 의견에 대해서 표현해 주거나 동작에 대한 의견을 약간 표현해 줍니다. 이러한 부사들은 동작이 어떻게 일어났는지 표현하지 않기 때문에, 다른 부사들과 다릅니다. 주석 및 관점 부사는 단일 동사, 부사 또는 형용사 보다는 구절 전체를 수식합니다. 문장 배치를 제외하면, 주석 부사와 관점 부사 간의 실질적인 차이점은 없습니다. 관점 부사로 사용될 수 있는 많은 부사들은 주석 부사로서도 사용될 수 있습니다. 하지만, 몇몇의 경우에, 부사는 둘중 하나로서만 훨씬 더 일반적입니다.

문장 배치

관점 부사는 문장 처음이나 흔하지는 않지만 끝에 배치됩니다. 이 부사는 보통 쉼표로 문장의 다른 부분과 구분됩니다. 주석 부사는 동사 앞이나 뒤에 모두 배치될 수 있는 경우인 "to be" 동사가 사용되지 않는한 주동사 앞에 배치됩니다. 몇몇의 경우에 주동사 앞에 배치된 주석 부사들도 또한 대부분의 경우 그렇지는 않지만, 쉼표로 문장의 나머지 부분과 구별될 것입니다. 아래 예들에서, 관점 및 주석 부사들은 올바르게 문장내에 배치되어 있습니다. 문장 배치가 특이하거나, 격식적이거나 구어로서는 너무 형식적인 경우, 별표로 표시되어 있습니다.
