세미콜론

세미콜론은 종지부와 쉼표 사이의 중간입니다. 영어에서 세미콜론은 접속사를 사용하지 않고 주제적으로 연결된 문구과 문장을 연결하기 위해서 사용합니다(아래 첫번째 예). 세미콜론은 항목들 자체가 이미 쉼표를 포함하고 있을 때, 쉼표 대신 항목들을 분리하기 위해서도 사용될 수 있습니다.
